　　例如：

　　a photograph of a family. 一幅家庭照。of a family作aphotograph的定語。

　　twelve new chairs imported from Europe.12把從歐洲進(jìn)口的新椅子。twelve和new分別修飾chairs，是其前置定語。imported from Europe是chairs的后置定語。這里既出現(xiàn)了前置定語，又出現(xiàn)了后置定語。

　　句子中定語成分：

　　英語外刊題目：

　　Warplanes mount fresh airstrikes in Syria.

　　戰(zhàn)機(jī)準(zhǔn)備上演敘利亞的新空襲。

　　這里fresh作airstrikes的前置定語。

　　in Syria作airstrikes的后置定語。

　　mount 是及物動(dòng)詞，作謂語。

　　The aerial attacksfocused on a rebel-held area of northwestern Syria where dozens of people werekilled on Tuesday in a suspected chemical attack.

　　空襲集中于敘利亞北部的一個(gè)叛軍占領(lǐng)區(qū)，在那里有12個(gè)人在星期二被可能的化學(xué)武器殺害了。

　　the aerial作attacks的前置定語。

　　a rebel-held作area的前置定語;of northwestern Syria作area的后置定語。

　　where指in northwestern Syria。

　　dozens of作people的前置定語。

　　a suspected chemical作attack的前置定語，這里有三個(gè)詞匯a, suspected和chemical分別修飾attack，并作其定語。
