        雅思大作文題目:

Universities should accept equal numbers of maleand female students to study in every subject.

        Do you agree or disagree?

        雅思大作文范文

In the contemporary world, universities have nosex discrimination against women, but it does notmean to say, in my opinion, that they should enrollequal numbers of male and female students to studyin every subject due to unique characteristics ofsubjects and personal choices.

Industrial arts and metalworking, for example, areareas of general education that deals with technology and industry. In the past, most schoolsrequired boys to take industrial arts. Today, though most courses in these fields arecoeducational, yet only a small number of female students study these subjects because theyrequire manual skills and mental abilities as most graduates in manufacturing fields work infactories where working conditions include high levels of dust, heat, or noise. Some factory jobsalso require great strength or standing for long periods.

However, university home economics programs that aim to train people to work asprofessional home economists attract many people, especially women as many of theseprofessionals work in the food, housing, and clothing industries. Some work in the fields ofdesign, marketing, nutrition, or family services; others communicate information toconsumers or teach skills used in the home.

More women serve in the field of nursing than in any other profession except teaching. Mostnurses are women. The proportion of female enrollment in nursing programs, therefore, predominates in medical colleges.

To conclude, the proportion of gender in university’s enrollment, in general, is determinedby distinct features of the subjects and personal choices, instead of strict regulations.

        雅思大作文題目:

Is there a gap of living in cities and the countryside? What are the causes of the widening gap in yourcountry and how can you reduce the difference?

        雅思大作文范文:

The debate over the merits of city versus countryliving will probably never be settled to anyone’ssatisfaction. But I believe that the argument hasnow gone in favor of the city.

Take China for example. Cities have been viewed asthe sites for economic opportunity by the massesof people. The countryside has become progressivelydepopulated, as millions sought jobs and better livesin cities. The urbanization process in China hastened its steps and widened the gap between thecity and the countryside for a time.

Commerce and industry have established the cities as places to live and work. And even if citylife sometimes proves to be congested, expensive, and uncomfortable, it represents animprovement over the poverty of the countryside.

Moreover, urban cities are filled with people from many different local cultures, and this varietymakes them interesting places to live. Many people choose to live in cities because they enjoythe variety of cultures found there.

However, the gap once deepened in scope and scale in China is now being narrowed down dueto the wise policy of the Chinese government in developing the rural industry and agriculturalproductivity. Since 1979, a total of 222 million rural poor in China have thus been lifted out ofpoverty.

To sum up, the city, cherished by many people, is the place where culture emerges andflourishes, the heartland of economic development and prosperity, but our endeavor is tonarrow down the gap between the city and the countryside.

        雅思大作文題目:

Some people think that children should learn how tocompete, but others think that children should betaught to cooperate to become more useful adults.

Express some reasons for both views and give yourown opinions.

        雅思大作文范文:

The current dispute on whether children should betaught to compete or to cooperate among somepeople should, to my mind, be reconciled if weconsider the fact that children’s education should beexamined according to general education guidelinesand specific situations.

Education’s primary goal is moral development. In every country, elementary school pupilslearn moral values and the rights and duties of citizenship besides reading and writing. Childrenare expected to learn, for example, honesty, cooperation and the rules of social behavior sothat they may acquire an understanding of universal moral principles necessary for society’ssurvival and to become more useful adults after their growing up.

Moreover, as we know, the effect of an activity or experience depends on how the childinterprets it. For instance, violent behavior on television may heighten the aggressivetendencies of a child who considers such behavior permissible. Children are less likely to beinfluenced by TV violence if they have learned that violent behavior is wrong.

Education also helps children adjust to changes in specific situations. This benefit has becomeincreasingly important because social changes today take place with rapid speed, and affectsthe lives of more and more children. For example, the competition among school leavers forenrolment in key high schools has become fiercer year by year. Education can help a childunderstand it and provide the skills for adjusting to it. Therefore, children should learn how tocompete with other children in order not to fail in the competition.
