World No-Tobacco Day

In China, a lot of people are smoking. For the old generation, they formed this bad habit when they were young, while for the young generation, they smoke for business cooperation, or they try to relieve their pressure. Everybody knows the danger of smoking, but some people just can’t get rid of it.

The danger of tobacco is obvious. The one who smokes for a long time will damage their body badly. The doctors show the picture of the smokers’ lungs. They are very dark, which have been polluted by the tobacco. As a result, they cough a lot. When someone get close to them, they feel bad about the smoky smell.

While most people have ignored the danger of second-hand smoke. A lot of people smoke in the public. They haven’t realized the damage of their tobacco. The innocent public has to bear the bad smell, then they call for the law to ban people smoking in the public areas.

The World No-Tobacco Day is on May 31st, and the purpose is to call the public to pay attention to stay away from tobacco. For the ones we love and for our health, we should not smoke.

Help-the-disabled Day

For every parent, their biggest wish is to watch their children grow up healthily. But unluckily, some people are born with disabled, or some of them meet disasters and being disabled. The public wants to help them and live the normal life. In 1990s, the government named the third Sunday of May as Help-the-disabled Day, in the hope of offering help to those unlucky people.

Disabled people are easy to get rejected when they come to the job market. The employers want to hire someone who can bring them the biggest profit, so they refuse the disabled without hesitation. Actually, though some people may look imperfect, they have the strong will and are very responsible. They deserve to be given a chance.

It is bad luck for people to lose part of the body. But the more horrible thing is the way the public sees them, treating them as the monsters. For those unlucky people, people from all walks of life should offer them help, and they need the chance to move on. The disabled are just as normal as us, only a little difference in appearance.

        父親節(jié) Father's Day

Father's Day is on the third Sunday of June. Everyone will express their love to fathers. In Chinese tradition, the role of father is always described as a quiet man. Though he doesn't talk much, the way he shows his love can be seen all the time. Father deserves the applause as mother.

Most people's impression about a father comes from a classic article they learned in primary school. The article described a traditional father sent his son to school at the station. When the boy saw his father's back, he felt so touched. The essay has been read by generations and they know a father’s way to show love.

Unlike the western countries, where people show love by kiss and hug, the children are educated to show their love openly, Chinese way to show love are much invisible. Many people feel hard to speak out the word love. For the young parents, they start to make some change. They express their emotion bravely. Love needs to be spoken out. We should let our parents to know we love them every day.
