A guy burned two ears... so they were asking him at the hospital how it happened.
一個男人的兩只耳朵都被燙傷了...在醫(yī)院的時候別人就問他是如何燙到的。
He said, "I was ironing my clothing and the phone rang...so instead of the phone I picked up the iron and burned my ear..."
他說:“我正在熨衣服的時候,電話響了...當(dāng)時我把熨斗當(dāng)成電話抓起來接聽了。”
"But how the heck did you burn the other ear?" The doctor asked.

A bus load of politicians were driving down a country road when all of a sudden the bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree in an old farmer's field. The old farmer after seeing whathappened went over to investigate. He then proceeded to dig a load of holes and buried all the politicians.
一輛滿載政客的大汽車在鄉(xiāng)間路上行駛,突然偏離大陸,撞到一棵樹上。這棵樹正長在一位老年農(nóng)民的地里。農(nóng)民看見發(fā)生事故就跑去看看情況。最后農(nóng)民挖了一個大坑,把所有的政客都埋了。
A few days later, the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus, and then asked the old farmer, "Were they ALL dead?" The old farmer replied, "Well, some of them said they weren't, but you know how them politicians lie."
幾天后,當(dāng)?shù)乜h治安官來到這里,看見被撞壞的汽車,問這位老農(nóng)民:“‘所有人’都死了?” 老農(nóng)民回答說:“呃...有些人說他們還活著,但是你知道政客們就喜歡撒謊。”

A new dorm rule was announced.
新宿舍規(guī)范出臺了。
“The female dormitory will be out-of-bounds for all male students, so too the male dormitory to the female students.

"Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined the first time."
"不論是誰,一旦違規(guī),初犯將被罰款20美元。”
"Anybody caught breaking this rule the second time will be fined ."

"Being caught a third time will incur a hefty fine of 0. Are there any questions?"
