Kamelot(幸運(yùn)星，又譯”亞瑟王宮殿“)來自美國佛羅里達(dá)的坦帕，是一支風(fēng)格相當(dāng)歐式的力量金屬樂團(tuán)，由吉他手Thom Youngblood與鼓手Richard Warner在1991年成立。三年后，樂隊(duì)簽約Noice Records旗下。

1995年8月，樂團(tuán)發(fā)行了首張專輯《Eternity》，Kamelot也開始引起樂迷及樂評們的注意。隔年Kamelot發(fā)行了第二張專輯《Dominion》，此張專輯較前一張作品獲到更廣大的好評，Kamelot展現(xiàn)了其音樂的廣闊性，強(qiáng)烈的歐洲金屬風(fēng)格，加上前衛(wèi)元素與古典色彩，同時(shí)，以中古世紀(jì)歐洲宮廷、城堡及騎士的史詩記事為題的作風(fēng)，企圖帶給所有聽者更大的想像空間!然而，就在96年秋天，Kamelot正要與Virgin Steele一同展開歐洲的巡回演唱時(shí)，鼓手Richard Warner和主唱Mark Vanderbilt卻因私人因素而無法參與演出，於是他們兩人立刻被踢出樂團(tuán)，而Kamelot亦不得不取消演出計(jì)劃。不久後，樂團(tuán)找來新任鼓手Casey Grillo加入，不過在主唱方面卻一直找不到適任的人選，直到新專輯幾近完成之時(shí)，仍然獨(dú)缺主唱一職。終於，在一次因緣巧合之下，Thom得知同屬Noise旗下的樂團(tuán)Conception解散的消息，于是便邀請其主唱Roy S. Khan加入，同時(shí)也順利地完成第三張專輯《Siege Perilous》的錄制，并於98年推出。優(yōu)美的吉他旋律、交響式鍵盤加上帶點(diǎn)詭跼感的鋼琴，使整張專輯充滿著一種宮廷的富麗堂皇，與中古世紀(jì)的神秘氣息，同時(shí)Khan其充滿感情、蒼桑而又高亢的嗓音，更貼切地詮飾出這樣的史詩情懷。
2011年，主唱Roy Khan宣布退隊(duì)，之后一段時(shí)間Kamelot的主唱由狂想曲的Fabio臨時(shí)替代。不過官方之后公布，新主唱為Seventh Wonder的Tommy Karevik，曾為樂隊(duì)巡演代唱，據(jù)樂隊(duì)組建人及樂隊(duì)吉他手Thomas Youngblood介紹，Karevik在全世界八百名候選人中脫穎而出，并最終成為了Kamelot的新主唱。2012年7月12日為Karevik首場正式演出。樂隊(duì)于2012年10月26日發(fā)表全新第三張概念專輯《Silverthorn》。
