1. kick ass 了不起

“kick ass” 除了字面上的「踢屁股」外, 還有「厲害、打敗」的意思。當(dāng)「踢屁股」時(shí), 比如某人放你鴿子, 你很氣, 就可以說:”I’m going to kick his ass.” (我得踢他的屁股)。當(dāng)「厲害」用時(shí), 就像上面例句一樣用?！眐ick ass”還可作「打敗某人的意思」。比如某人一向在某方面比你強(qiáng), 終于有一天你比他厲害了, 你就可以說:”Hahaha…I kicked your ass.”。覺得“ass” 太難聽的人, 就用“butt” 吧!

2. XYZ 檢查你的拉鏈

Hey, man. XYZ. (老兄啊! 檢查一下你的拉鏈吧。)“XYZ” 是“Check your zipper.” 的意思。在美國, 填表選項(xiàng)時(shí)多用打「X」來表示(臺灣則用打勾表示)。這個(gè)選項(xiàng)的動作就叫”Check”, 也就是這里的XYZ 的X所代表的。Y 是Your, Z 就是Zipper 啰!

“running late”
